What God wants from Man

God just wants mankind to repent. That said, it is faith in Christ that saves us. We need to come to faith in Christ first, then he will clean us up in the process of sanctification.

To learn what repent means, we look at the Strong’s Concordance 3340 definition of repent,

Gloss: to repent, to change any or all of the elements composing one’s life: attitude, thoughts, and behaviors concerning the demands of God for right living

Definition: to undergo a change in frame of mind and feeling, to repent, Luke 17:3-4; to make a change of principle and practice, to reform, Mt. 3:2

Repentance is turning from sin, and turning towards Jesus!

Everyone in Jesus Christ is on their own process of further sanctification, until our bodies will be redeemed at the first Resurrection.

If anyone claims to be perfectly Holy in this life, we have the Law which is the school master to bring us to Christ! Everyone has broken the law in one way or another so all human beings are guilty.

John the baptist preached the message of repentance to prepare a way for Jesus, and in Mark 6:12 Jesus sends out his disciples preaching the message of repentance. The Gospel is supposed to bring man to repentance.

“And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

Universalism cannot be true due to these verses

Universalism eliminates the need for Jesus going to the cross, what’s the point if everyone is saved anyways?

The idea of universalism can from the snake in the garden of Eden saying you shall surely not die and has no scriptural backing in scripture
